A 15 year veteran of the sport, Stu earned 3rd place in C-Class at the 2001 World Championships. He teamed up with navigator Steve three years ago and it proved a successful combination when they won C-Class at the 2003 New Zealand Marathon.
In 2004, the pair were 4th overall and 2nd in A-Class at the halfway stage of the marathon before the engine "expired".

This was all put behind them in October when their 400ci Chevy powered Eagle placed an impressive 5th overall in the Goldridge Hotel 2005 World Jet Boat Marathon.

Stu now has his eyes set on a new boat & engine combination so expect this Canterbury based team to appear on the podium even more frequently in the future.
